I don't mean to piss you guys and gals off--- but nobody's been able to help! Should I dump yhe game and start over?

Meh, if it's that big a deal... just copy all the cheat files to the story folder of each dmod you want to use it with. It's not as pretty as just placing it in dink/story... but it'll get the job done.
