Can anyone remember the 'trick' for removing the yellow version number at the bottom? I have a beautiful title screen which is sort of WRECKS

PS: Why is my midi not playing -_- It's set to play in START.c and it's in SOUND fine =/ First problem I've ever had with playing midi =/ Yes audio is selected by the way in DFARC, I can hear .wav files (ie. when you punch select menu buttons etc.) but no MIDI?

A quick bit of searching and I found this from theprophet a while ago

&crap = get_sprite_with_this_brain(8, 1);
sp_kill(&crap, 1);

Putting that in start.c under the bit where it changes brain should kill the version number, incase anyone else wants to know

But I still don't know why my midi isn't playing at all?

What command are you using to play the midi? You've probably just got it ever so slightly wrong or something. That's generally the case with this sort of problem.

Well I'm going to use a .wav track for the title screen, I don't care what you all have to say about .wav the fact is it creates the perfect atmosphere that I need for this And Sabre reply to PM

While I'm posting alot of questions at the same time I might as well ask this as well, did 1.08 never fix the fade_down problem where any pure white pixels are still displayed? It's quite annoying considering as the main title text is basically all white, so fading down from my title screen looks pretty bad. Unless anyone has any other ideas how to do a nice fade rather than straight from the title screen to game

Also: Now my side bars wont load up, but the main menu bar will (with health etc. on it, the 2 side bars wont) confusing.. Must have missed something out again :| **UPDATE:** Turns out that they were in different colour formats. The main menu was in 24bit whereas the others were in 8. Just letting other people who may one day have the same problem know **UPDATE2:** Ok maybe that wasn't the solution, was a good guess though Still need to know how to get those dang sidebars working!
