I can't find the gold to get the flute. This is literally killing me. Perhaps someone out there with a little compassion can give me a hint or two, because this is driving me nuts.

As you just exit the town. Go up around the flame trees will be a treasure chest. You will get burnt. But still get through. Their are many chests but the easiest would be the chest just north outside of the town somewhere.
