what the farck
DFArc
ok i unzip chaos on it leaves chaos.dmod (why not delete this automatically??) and leaves a file called "ΓΏ" with no extension.
I, for one, would be quite upset if the program automatically deleted the .dmod file by default. I like to retain the original download should I need to install the D-Mod again.
Why would you want the zip to be deleted automatically? As Tal says, you may want to reinstall it one day.
And if it really bugs you, deletion is but a few clicks away.

Ohh, I love the .dmod format
It's really simple and fast to install dmods, and now I can easilly find all the dmods on my computer by simply searching for .dmod
EDIT: Not that it ever was a problem since I had all dmods in the same folder, but theoretically it's better now.

Whoa. A positive comment from scratcher. It must be good.
I re-compared my enzip archive of Elves to the dmod archive....it turns out dmod is way smaller.....789kb for dmod, over a 1000kb for zipped.Looks like you were right Redink1
Can someone help me with this new archiver? I have installed it 3 times and I get nothing!! Please tell me what I am doing wrong.
Could you please be a little more specific about what's wrong?? There are so many explanations....
It sure is useful when searching your whole computer for missing DMODs, and it takes up much less space, but it's quite difficult to get it to work for me, as I am already used to DinkFrontEnd.exe and I cannot work this properly. Perhaps you should put the DMOD in both .dmod and the old versions redink1, so some Dinkers can at least use DinkFrontEnd because some Dinkers may also have difficulty setting up the files and getting on with new technology like .dmod files.

Eh, DFArc is just like winzip or something, it zips and unzips files. So you still need to use a front end to play the files.
