The Dink Network

I cant figure out how to get the longsword. In the walkthrough it says to just get it "somehow" but it doesnt say how! i dont have enought gold to afford it, so how else can i get it?
any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ah the morals of this game... not to mention the biology of the monsters... gotta smile

there are two ways To get the longsword in the original dink. (1.)The hard way: run back and forth from the acorn tree to the store to sell acorns for $2 each (2.), The other hard way: Go down to that one dungen with the trapped guy, fight the boncas there for $$$, I prefer this way because you get the experince for magic, for the acid rain to free the trapped guy.
