What have you found?
Cursed Blades Part 1: Charlie's Legacy
Very simple question, just to sate my curiosity.
What kind of small references have you found, throughout your time playing Charlie's Legacy?
This thread may include spoilers, as a warning to readers.

What the heck are YOU doing here?! I thought you were supposed to be stuck in Screen 1!
"glennglenn"
I was wondering who of the OG DN users would have gotten that reference.

IIRC my "tactic" was fighting him at a later stage, having a lot of health. I basically had enough to not die, then kick his ass. He took nearly all of my health, but he was easy at that point.
There's a reason it's called the Sealed Cave, and warns you about it's danger on entry.
EDIT: Here's something directly referenced by main story progression.

If you can't get somewhere yet, wait til later.

Man, this made me laugh out loud! I had the same problem during my playthrough but I can't say I considered going to such extreme lengths...

Hi Guys,
Playing this, I think I have found a bug. There is a point in the game where you can venture into a black void. This isn't a problem unless you venture too far an into a locked screen, whereby you are seperated from fighting the monsters by a brick/stone wall.

One screen to the left is where I was able to travel from here:

to here:

The black void can be entered from just outside of the "from" location, above. You can wander around quite a bit of 'black' and get back out of it again, provided you do not travel to the right of the third screenshot into the screenlocked area.
As I say, not sure if intentional ( really doubt that) but figured bringing it to your attention might be a good idea.
Cheers

Hey Steve, you may have found a bug within a secret there - Thanks for pointing this out.
You're only meant to be able to travel north and south there, and that passage is only opened from the north.

Phew... Good to see. Now, if I could only find the carned chef
As a hint, there's a bookcase somewhere that elludes to who the chef is, as well as a table in a particular house.
It's also a reference to something here on the DN but that's probably much harder to find, and not worth the time.

I have updated Charlie's Legacy to version 2.5, to fix the above bug.
I can make the second puzzle in cannibal town. Please help me
You'll have to give a bit more detail, there are several puzzles down in the Sealed Cave connected to Canbell.
Which are you having trouble with specifically?
Which are you having trouble with specifically?
That looks like shield. I can put a picture of this right here, but it's unavailable
For the Sliding Tile puzzles, the suggested way to solve them is given as a hint early in the game.
Solve the top row, then the 2nd, and third rows - then with the last 2 rows you solve 4 squares in one corner and leave the last 6 spaces to finish up. Makes it easier to rearrange the final solution that way
There is an alternative solution if you still have problems with it however.

You mean second row from the top or from the down? 4 squares what corner? Left, right...?
PS. I really loved this mod and its much better than the original game. But man, these puzzles are freaking me out, why its even there?

The Sliding Tile puzzle design is based on, and an homage to, this: Treasure Trail Puzzle Boxes
See solution advice there.

I did everything what is in the link, so it's still two squares left that i cant swap to finish this puzzle
You mean they are around the wrong way and you need to swap them?
If that's the case you can do that, you gotta juggle them around but you'll need to mess up some other tiles to do it, you need to mess around with at least 6 tiles to successfully swap them around without just getting stuck in a loop. 4 won't cut it.

Im messing up with 6 titles, but theres no way i can make it right. I tryied about an hour to do something.Theres another way to do this?

Can you send me your save file?
Go into the directory of the dmod and get the relevant save#.dat (whatever save slot it is is the #) and send it to: dinkspt@gmail.com
I'll take a look.

I got your email, and sent a reply. As stated in the email, I reset the puzzle to start fresh (shift), and solved it succesfully and sent you the save_state.
The position you somehow managed to get to with the final two ppieces was indeed perplexing, although, somehow still possible and I coudln't be bothered figuring out how lol. After all, a sliding tile is either possible or impossible, and cannot be turned from one to the other through normal, legal moves. But sometimes it's easier to hit reset and start the puzzle fresh.
