How do i get gold im in the gold area and there is no creatures apart from slimes.

I need gold so i can trade it in for silver.

You don't need gold there, you need silver, which is dropped by monsters that usually drop gold. If you still have gold, you can trade it (which means you mostly lose it).
I think you don't really need silver in the beginning of that part. Later, you'll meet larger enemies and you can get silver. Don't try to build a cash pile for the next part, though. You'll lose most if it again when you trade it back to gold.
