Hi there. Once, there was a computer. This computer wanted to stay on all day, running servers, eating muffins and cupcakes, hangin' out with the modem and other fun things. But there's a huge problem... Not enough players.

The computer is running at my place. And it wants your souls. A DN-only practice server for TF2 is coming up on it soon. My Minecraft server (which I've put a lot of work and effort on) has lost many players recently for unknown reasons so I'll make the server open for you when 1.8 comes out and when CraftBukkit releases the next 1.8-compatible build.

How many of you are interested in joining the MC-server? Please try to keep the thread in the green zone.

Me. And possibly another friend just getting into Minecraft. He has an account on the DN but he's not around much, but he's Minecraft homeless and has been begging for blocks on a street corner for about a month now.

Yay minecraftz! I haven't played it in a while due to getting tired of solo-play, but I'd probably play on ya server a fair bit if you opened it. Actually, thinking about it, I haven't really had a go at the online yet

Same goes for me, haven't played it for like 3 months as I got tired of playing single player, but multiplayer should be more fun

I find it silly that a person who plays Minecraft is tellin' others to go out more often, when those who play Minecraft are usually the ones who don't go out at all.

My friend confirmed he would join your server. Someone else may also join, depending on if his computer starts liking Minecraft or not. Just out of curiosity, since I have a private server that we goof around on, what plugins do you use? I'm currently using Essentials alone, and since the server is private I haven't bothered installing Permissions (or similar plugins).

Search Bukkit.org if you want more information on each plugin. Oh, and all users get to download a long documentation help file companion (currently only in swedish) to easier understand what each plugin does and how to use them.

I wonder if Mojang will release 1.8 today. The pre-release was filled with bugs.

1.8 is officially out now. When Bukkit releases a compatible build I'll get crackin' on the mods and make everything run. WOOOAOASDASDASO!

For those wondering, I found the old info about Quiztis's server and how to join.

When you launch the game, press ` to bring up the console and then type "connect 78.70.125.108:27015" The password is dinknetwork. If ` doesn't work, activate the console through the options in advanced by checking "developer console"

Now all we need to know is when this server will be up during the day.

Ok, I'll set up the TF2 server when I get home. Currently at my parents place over the weekend.

If you want to host your own server, first check your max upload speed of your broadband. 1 Mbit isn't enough in many cases.

Oh, the server will be up 24/7 btw. Just like the Minecraft one will be.

Kewl, lookin' forward to it I would be playing on the TF2 server as well except that I can only run that game at about 8fps, which is less than ideal for an FPS

Are there any griefers on the DN? I've put a jail up just in case there are. Sorry for the huge delay, I've been busy but now it's finally finished and opted for 1.8. Since Notch said that there will only be pre-releases until the actual release I can run 1.8 without worrying about another update that will break everything.

The MC server is very likely to be up tomorrow with a downloadable documentation in english covering all plugins and rules. IP etc. can be found here when it's up. 24/7 ofc.

I know of a griefer.. Bornfree15. She builds rodes everywhere.

That was one of the worst games I have ever played.

Only really played on the server once, got myself some stuff and built a cave hovel. You can probably find it not far from the spawn village, across the slightly messed up water. Just leaving it there as is, I think, though I did begin to set up a strafe-mine. Probably not deep enough to be a very effective strafe mine level though.
