The Dink Network

A GreaseMonkey script for displaying all of a user's posts

I have written a GreaseMonkey script that adds a "Posts" button on people's user profiles. If you click the button, it will take you to the forum search results for that user, like you can do in vBulletin and other such forums.

Dink Network User Posts script

Let me know if you have any problems. It's my first GreaseMonkey script ever.

I think I have signed my own death sentence. Now I'm using that Posts button on people and finding all these interesting threads to read. I'll never get anything done again!

You need to be using Firefox, and download "greasemonkey" for it.

Or you could use Chrome, which comes with Greasemonkey included. But I use Firefox. You can install Greasemonkey from here, after you've installed Firefox.

BTW, it also displays all your PMs so everyone can read them.

Just kidding. Actually all it does is trigger a search for that person's username. You can do the same thing by clicking on the Search tab and typing in the username in the Username field and clicking Submit. This script just eliminates all that clicking and typing.

But if you're logged in and you click the Posts button for your own name, you will see all your PMs.

This is kinda pointless. All it does is save time from typing the username. But still a cool script, I guess.

It's not pointless if you're extremely lazy like me.

I've posted an updated version of the script that creates a link rather than a button. I thought you had to submit a form, but then I saw the URL parameters for the forum search, so I've switched to that. Links are more flexible to work with than buttons. You can open them in a new tab, bookmark them, etc.

The updated script is at the same link as in the OP. I think you can just click the install button again. But if that fails, you can delete the old script in your browser (using Tools > Greasemonkey > Manage User Scripts) and install the new one. I'm still learning how Greasemonkey works.

Of course, if you have the first version and you prefer a button rather than a link, you can keep that one.
