The Demon Lord Jaitz can only be stopped if 9 gems are retrieved.

Storyline: In this part (there is also part 2) Dink has to find the first three of the 9 gems. The story is divided in three quests; each one to find a gem. The first quest is rather long, the second one really short and the third one rather short too.

Map and graphics: The map is nicely done. The three stories each have their own setting, for example in a desert. There are several new graphics, but most of them are not that good or are rather cartoon-like. The dragon on the title screen is nice though. Dink has to disguise himself. Those graphics used for Dink remind me of The Prince of Persia - at the end of the D-mod, there is also a picture of this hero. Some new things are done with old graphics; there are windows in houses, a staircase, and a miniature town (someone’s hobby). The holes in the ice are very nice, and Dink’s reaction when falling into one is hilarious. Some enemies have changed colours: the slayer is black. There are new enemies too, although they are rather cartoonish –and I still wonder what an octopus is doing on the ice instead of beneath it.

Music: Suits the situation.

Good: The way Dink attacks and hit is very good. I would say even better then the original Dink. The blow given with the knife is really good.

Not so good: Some hardness errors on tiles. A warp on a house warps you to a blue screen with no way out. Another warp crashes the game. You can find a lot of potions, which is not bad, but it makes defeating the bosses real easy. A bit more of a fight would have ad to the adventure, because now I killed a dragon-end-boss with one blow.

Overall: Nice story, nice gameplay.

Fit for: Everyone who wants to play a good D-mod.
