DImage doesn't really do much, so at first it may seem that my score is high, but read on.

Funtionality: 6.5: As mentioned in previous reviews 6 colours is too few). IrfanView and the GIMP offer a lot more colours.

Funtionality Success: 7.0: It does not do a good job of what it attempts to do (it stuffed up the green potions I tried to do with my Treasury file). Also, as mentioned in previous reviews you can't save the graphic as the same name.

Attempt: 6.5: Not all that good at what it attempts to do (there the multiple tinting issue that was mentioned in other reviews. It would be better off it just changed the colour you pick rather than add the colour.)

Effort: 6.5: The author didn't really appear to put all that effort into it.

Overall: 6.6: A good program. Irfanview, PaintShop Pro, GIMP and other graphics programs do a better job.

Pros: Easy to use. Works very fast. Nice idea.
Cons: A few bugs (as mentioned above).

DImage is a great tool to tint graphics into 6 different colors they are Gray, blue, red, green, yellow cyan, and, mag. .grey isnt actually a color. so it will be six colors and on greyscale.

I say this is a very usful utility. I my self have used it many times for dink mods AND many others. It allows you to tint any bitmaps which is really usful.

Here is a little utilty that colours a bmp. A choice of 6 colour plus greyscale. Handy for those that know nothing about image manipulation or who can't afford a graphics program... or can't be bothered to learn who to use a free graphics program such as the Gimp.

Downsides to the is are: doesn't convert to 256 colours if original graphic was 16 mill, doesn't load Dink palette, if you bring a really large graphic in the program resizes to fit the image and so you have to reposition the program to find the buttons that control the colour change (I hate that), also the program is additive in it's colour change, and by that I mean if you do one colour change to say blue, and then do a yellow or red, you will get a dark yellow or dark red... which is an added bonus in that you can get more than 7 shades, but this should be an option you can either turn off or on.

Ultimately I don't think this program is of much use until it has colour reduction to 8 bit, loading of Dink palette and batch processing on a series of files.

This file allows an author to tint a sprite one of 6 different colours. For the prospective d-mod author, who want something a bit different for their d-mod...this is a very cool idea, but does not work as well as we would all hope. Only 6 choices of colour? That's not bad at all in my opinion, but the bad part is that in my opinion, only one of these can really be used!
All but the gray scale end up looking poor and scrappy : Though the grey scal is fantastic for creating statues...or stone bonca's or whatever.
This file could have been brilliant, but it only succeeds in one area.

The basis of this program is to tint your graphics different color, however, sometimes weird things happen that make graphics look really cool. If you are an author that is just looking to do some simple things to graphics, you might like this program.

BUGS: there is one rather annoying bug in this program. If you load a file, edit it, and then try to save it to that exact same file, you get an error. To fix this you have to manually delete the file and then it will save.

Score: 5.0 If it had more option, or perhaps didn't have that bug it would have been scored higher but oh well.

This is a useful utility of you want to give your graphics a nice new tint. It could be used to create elemental monsters too
The downside is that you can only, as the description says, choose out of 6 colours.
Anyway, for those people who want something slightly new in their d-mod and who don't know how to work with an advanced graphics programme this is a solution.
