Rabidwolf9 has updated his well received Afterimages to version 1.01. The fixes include:

- Disappearing sprites on screen change

Afterimages can be added to enemies (or Dink) to simulate fast movement. You can find the file here.

Updated D-Mod: Bug Mania 2.02
Posted by Christiaan on Sunday May 3rd, at 06:59 AM
Sparrowhawk has updated his D-Mod Bug Mania to version 2.02. It's a quick (but important) fix so now it starts at the beginning rather than halfway through! Thanks to Skull for pointing this out!

I strongly advise you play this D-Mod again, because you'll basically see new levels this time, and the D-Mod is actually really fun. You can find the file here.

Everything Dink 01: 95% Statistics
Posted by Christiaan on Sunday May 3rd, at 04:54 PM
We all know the Dink Community isn't going as strong as it used to be. Redink1 left the throne, and staff went on to do other, less important things (like eek! working).

However, there is light at the end of the tunnel! New staff members emerged, and hey! One of them is starting a new website article (me, baby). The name of this article isn't final yet, but the idea is that once a month or so, I present random tidbits from the website's past, present and future. It's totally random, but it's all Dink-related. If you know a (better) name for this article, please tell me so in the comments.

Now, check out the comments for the first entry of this article!

Updated Dev File: Countdown Timer 1.1
Posted by Sparrowhawk on Friday May 8th, at 02:15 PM
Sparrowhawk (whoever that is) has updated his Countdown Timer to include revamped instructions and a detailed explanation of how it works.

May I also take this opportunity to say that any staff member who abuses their Powers by approving their own files, and comprising the safety of Dinkers worldwide by the risk of getting an Evil Virus Program instead of the fully checked DinkC script expected, will be severly punished.
As will all staff members making unauthorized announcements.

New D-Mod: Infinidink
Posted by Christiaan on Tuesday May 19th, at 06:31 AM
Legendary D-Mod author Wesley McElwee has released the first new D-Mod of the year: Infinidink! This D-Mod totally came out of nowhere, but having played it a bit, I must say I'm impressed. Choose to be a warrior, magician or jack of all trades and go to battle! Like in most of Wesley's D-Mods, expect tons of innovative scripting tricks and edgy gameplay. Make sure to run this D-Mod in 24-bit mode!

This is a beta version though so please report any bugs straight to Wesley.

New D-Mod: Chores
Posted by Christiaan on Tuesday May 19th, at 07:07 PM
Some Finish lunatic named MadStalker has unleashed his first D-Mod on The Dink Network. It's called Chores and is about Dink going to a foreign, cold land (no doubt) to help his granny with house chores.

Having played through the D-Mod myself, I can tell you the D-Mod is more interesting than the description makes it sound. So go download it!

New Dev File: Dink Smallwood quest script generator (demo)
Posted by Christiaan on Monday May 25th, at 08:10 AM
You guys know Patrunjelu? He's one lazy son of a pigfarmer and decided he didn't want to waste his time on scripting anymore. Instead, he developed the Dink Smallwood quest script generator, a very handy file which makes the scripts for you!

Well, not really, you still have to put in the text, but the commands are being generated by the script generator. I messed around with it and it can definitely save you some time. It's still a demo version however, so look out for the full version soon!

New D-Mod: An Aeophian Adventure: Dink goes to Aeophia
Posted by Christiaan on Monday May 25th, at 08:23 AM
Patrunjelu is at it again. It appears he really likes extremely long names, so he decided to name his D-Mod An Aeophian Adventure: Dink goes to Aeophia.

In this Rune Factory-like Romp, Dink is able to run the local pub, among other things.
