Windows Vista???
Well I have returned from my long 3ish year break from Dink, for how long I will stay will be determined by the answere to this post.Last time I was hear Vista was able to play d-mods but not make them. What I am wondering is if anyone has found out a fix for Vista's issues with D-modding.
Thank you for any help that you can provide.
PS:I have attempted to search around for the answere, but I am short on time so I posted this request.

The latest Dink (1.08) and WinDinkEdit Plus work flawlessly on my PC, and I run Vista. I haven't heard anyone else complain either. What are the problems you're running in to?
Well the issuse that I was running into last time I tryed to use this program was that the computer could not find where I would be saving the scripts. I could more or less create a entire D-mod but I could not have any scripts in it. I tryed to use browse and go directly to the saved file but the error came up that selected file could not be found in the directory.
I will try turning off UAC thank you for the suggestion.

Dude I have the same problems
Well now atleast now I know I'm not alone in this predicament. I haven't gotten the chance to try dissableing my UAC I will try this tomarrow. Well I do guess if worse comes to worse I could always just pull out my old windows 2000 computer and use that for my d-modding.
I've tried using the original DinkEdit - it'll load up but if you hit the space bar it crashes. Thusly, I'll download DinkEditPlus & see what happens.
Yeah, it's the new coconut flavored WinDinkEdit! WinDinkEdit Plus Banana coming soon!
Both editors (WinDinkEdit and DinkEdit) are running fine on my windows Vista...
Will there also be a cherry version?

I have also noticed with vista you cant access toh origonal games story scripts, It says it is not supported in this version of windows so you have to create all your own scripts or steal them from other peoples Dmods. Very anoying grr!
Have you replaced them with the .c versions? It might just be because you're trying to open them as .d files.
