Regarding the Rise to Power D-Mod Contest (Edit)
D-Mods are due tomorrow. So, who actually has one ready?
If you have finished one, you don't have to wait until tomorrow to submit it; you can send it in now as long as you make sure to mention it's for the contest.
Edit: Ok, things are looking very lackluster. I pondered cancelling the contest, but perhaps we should try making something positive out of this. Who would very likely have a D-Mod ready if the contest were delayed a couple of weeks (a month maybe)?

Hi. I was hoping i would get the final touches on my dmod today for the contest. at what time is it due cuz then i might work a little bit extra up till the due time? Also this is my first dmod so its not perfect but i just wanted to try my luck. since it's my 1st dmod i have no idea about the format it should be in for upload; i mean i have it as a normal folder and i don't know how to convert it into a .dmod file. Please tell me what i should do to convert it into the format necessary for upload. I've used some scripts from the original game and the map is copied from the original game (with modifications of course) since the events take place on dink's island. would that disqualify my dmod? Plz reply. Thanks a lot for ur concern.

Hi .
To package the D-mod you have to open DFarc/frontend (the program you usually use to play your d-mods).
Then, in Edit - Options menu, you check the Show developer buttons.
Then at the DFarc/fronted, you just select your d-mod and click on the Package button. I think it will make your .dmod file inside your d-mod folder.

I was kinda hoping to join in, but I really haven't done anything to it. So I haven't got one...
tal, i was totally gonna get one rolling, but got lazy, and the deadline came. next one, i promise.
hmmm. same story here...have one in da pipeline, just won't be done for the comp. too bad, that is.
Yeah, not the same here. I'm working on this D-Mod, it just has nothing to do with the comp.
I've been on vacation most of the summer so far so I haven't had much time to work on my D-Mod, sadly.
Well, if Nawal's is the only DMod entered, then she absolutely has to get the prize, I believe.
Then we can discuss if the contest ended as a fiasco... or double fiasco!
I personally feel sad, but not that much. Is there an emoticon for that?

If I'm the only one who applied, then the competiton will be cancelled!!
All my efforts will turn to ash!! Please don't cancel the competiton!! (Not that I'd win but... )

*cough* Hear-hear!! *cough*
If you postpone the contest can I then get to edit my dmod (debug it properly) and re-submit it?

Sure, I don't think that will be a problem.
I might still make something even though I'm going on holiday and am working 40 hours a week right now. So make that a big might...
I'll think I start something simple tonight.

I suppose I *could* attempt to finish the contest DMod I started if I ever get my darned computer back from GeekSquad. (sent it in almost a week ago b/c it came with a faulty disk drive.) Any day now..
*cough* *arrrg-hm! Yeah, that might work
That's gr8! when's the new deadline then? also how do i withdraw the dmod i submitted on the 20th so that i could submit the modified one instead?
Heh, I would never trust the "geeks" at Geek Squad with my computer. There's a reason they work at Best Buy.
You can't really "withdraw" it. We can reject it from being posted, though, which I assume is OK with you. Feel free to continue working on what you have.
Looks like it's gonna be another week before I get my computer back
You can still work on the story and such. There's where I'm stuck.
