Updated D-Mod: Magical Mayhem v1.01
Erwin has updated Magical Mayhem to v1.01. As it turns out, the title screen I raved about in v1.00 was about the only thing that worked. This time, there is playable content! Hooray!
Yay! But, tell me, redink, do the staffers play the D-Mods or look at any of the files before uploading?
No, they just take out all the Tal porn that Dinkers insist on including with every D-Mod.

I can't seem to get past the slow speed test. Speed 4 seems where it is supposed to be, but it is a few off and goes back up to speed 5, which is too fast, thus creating an endless cycle.
Dammit I was afraid this would occur. For now copy the save file you already have in your MM folder and change the name to save4 or save5 (preferably save5 since giving player 2 a little advantage would seem fair because it's more difficult to control player 2). I should find a way to deal with this for the new patch. Perhaps I'll just let the script choose the highest speed if it can't decide.
EDIT: Maybe speed 4 is better because you said it wasn't far off and because that's the result of my slow speed test as well.

The first time I ran the slow speed test it did the endless cycle thing, like rabidwolf said, but then I Alt-Q'd out of the game, and ran the SST again, and it worked. It gave me speed 4, but player 2 friggin' went at the speed of light! While player 1 was stuck going really slow.
But overall, I think it's really cool! The spells are awesome! The only thing was, no one wanted to play with me. So I had to play by myself...

Could you all please tell me what came out of both of your speed tests? I might be able to improve them or even remove them if they appear to be unnecessary.
It's indeed too bad that not too many people play Dink. I had loads of trouble testing this because most my friends got bored (or annoyed because I usually win. I made the game what did you expect ). I think I'm going to make a single player version of it with the possibility to let a friend play along or to let player 2 be controlled by a computer. This is of course against good old monsters and not against each other.
