How to reduce the risk of Prostate Cancer...
...and have fun while doing so:

In Finland we have this saying "wanha".
Also, take notice of the part the doc says about actual intercourse. It ain't good for you. And notice how unfair this is to women? How are we to protect ourselves from cervical cancer? Why doesn't feminism achieve anything useful and tackle actual disadvantages such as this one.

It isn't clear from the article, but what I think is meant is that intercourse with many different partners isn't good for you, at least statistically speaking. Because later in the article, all that is said is that men who ejaculate the most between ages 20 and 50 are the least likely to get cancer.
From what I gather you have to induce the carcinogens (i.e. toxins of some kind) for 'flushing them out' to do anything.
So... if you smoke, have a lot of sex, but not with too many people?
Yeah I think that's what it means, not all of the 1000 people tested would smoke so there would some other factors as well but there is always the moral and mental effect of lots of masturbation, it can often leave thoughts that don't go away.
Oh, dear.. What about the moral and mental effects of having sex with a partner - to prevent cancer, instead of reproduction?
I have lots of wonderful things to add, but just in case I'd offend someone who actually suffers from cancer, I'll let them pass... And I did notice the word "lots" in Hades' post, but it doesn't really convince me.

Well sorry Sharp. Do you mean to say it's a shame that no one's tried to find a way to reduce the risk of cervical cancer like this article has done for prostate cancer or do you mean there isn't a way and it's unfair? Either way I understand how you feel.
Also don't be afraid to offend people. If anyone is afraid of being offended they need to get off the internet since the internet is just a real-life meeting of people, but with many more people than you'd normally meet and them all acting alot less worried about social norms which normally stop us from offense.

Amen to that. From what I've heard from somebody's therapist (through them): It's not what is said that makes you offended, it's how you choose to take it. Thus, if you're offended by something it is your own fault, and thus you cannot hold other people responsible for how you react to what they say.
There are of course exceptions, if somebody is attacking you directly, that's a different story, but if you're an idiot, and somebody tells you that you're an idiot, I think they are justified, and that you're the one to blame if that offends you.

I agree, I think it's also a good idea to watch what you say(type) as well because a lot of the time what you type isn't always the same as what you would have said in real life. There is no emotion on the net (well not much ) so if someone says something, especially if it also has bad grammer, it's hard to understand what it really means and what context it's in.
Uh, in case someone missed it, my first message was sposed to be filled with sarcasm... And then I was going to suggest (inspired by Hades' post) that the most moral thing to do is just take the cancer and pass away, so that nobody can suspect you're having unusual amounts of sex with yourself.
There, I've done my offending for today. Happy?

People who know me personally realize that I have a severe problem noticing and understanding sarcasm. Shame I did it again.

Well... you sign your posts with "sincerely" so we probably should've guessed
It's part of life and the world so whether you like it or not you can't get away from it, especially in school and on TV.
'"Ugh"? What's wrong with you?'

You're all understanding it... The Ugh was simply a cough. It could happen you know if certain things enter your windpipe. He could be helping some friends with their battle against cancer...

I like to throw my two cents in every now and then. And I don't think I could avoid a topic like this.
same... i'm not really allowed to go to adult-ish sites but this thread just got my attention... and its not just the fact that i have been gone a while and just checking most threads...
anyway now that i think about it, it seems logical (the research thing) since we cough to clear our throats. but there are ways to prevent STDs aren't there? so if you take precautions you can... 'flush the system' with a partner, without risk
