I don't understand that page. It says it was updated on the 16th of Jne 2007, could someone please explain all those 'nicks' and what everything means?

That page displays the statistics of people chatting on the #DinkSmallwood IRC channel.

Nick = nickname.
IRC = Internet Relay Chat, a special protocol (irc:// instead of something like http:// or ftp://) intended for people chatting with eachother.
Channel = a "chatroom" in IRC. Starts with a #, for example, #DinkSmallwood.

I sometimes visit irc://irc.freenode.net:6667#DinkSmallwood. The second link you posted is just a Java interface for IRC chatting, I never use it.

Yes, because Firefox handles the HTTP and FTP protocols, not the IRC protocol. Get an IRC client and you will be able to open it with that.

There's the Firefox extension ChatZilla, if you want to open IRC protocol addresses right in Firefox. There are also some external programs, like mIRC.

That page won't be updated while I'm in the US, cause the server that runs the logger bot is offline when I'm away. Stats will start being collected again around the 15th of July or so.
