You now what? Here in sweden (the northern part atleast) it's snowstorm. Three days ago, the weather were like +10*C (Dunno what it is in F but it's not that cold) And today it's 0*C...
The trees are completly covered with snow, and it's like 8 inches snow on the ground.

Here in Regina, Sask, Canada, it's been fluctuating from -15 to 2 for the past week or so. It's basically the last nice week of fall.

Daniel, there are clowns.
The temperature was over halfway to the boiling point of water from its point of freezing? O_o

I believe the word you are looking for is Fahrenheit... not Celsius.

It's our Australian springtime, it's warming nicely and we have just had 2 days of very welcome rain.

I would give anything to live in Iceland or Finland (in that order), but I'll settle for Sweden. I live in New York State. Wanna trade? I'm semi-lucky in that I live in a place that is cold and rains a lot, but I want more. At the risk of sounding emo, cold, gray, and raining/snowing is my favorite kind of weather.

Ah, but have you ever experienced *true* cold? It changes you, you know. When you meet it, you think it's just a regular cold, but when you come out of it, if you survive, then you know; *that* was a true cold. It's got the bite of a normal cold, but it goes deeper. It doesn't matter how many layers you wear, it cuts right through them.

Signs of a true cold:
Living in a well insulated house, you need to wear a parka indoors.
Your indoor plumbing freezes.
The diesel trucks don't get shut off: you wouldn't be able to re-start them if you did.
You pack the outside of the shelter with snow.
Hypothermia.
Liquid water explodes violently. So do trees.

The worst frostbite I've ever seen was on someones eye. I'll take a frozen nose over that any day.

Not that cold weather isn't a wonder and a blessing, but will we ever be able to get past competing on "who's got it colder"? Not that it'd ever get tiring or anything.

Winter have some great things. Here's two examples I think is nice: 1) XMAS! 2) Snowboard, oh yes that's the best part.

Was that all? It wasn't that much! I think i forgot something...
But I dam miss the LIGHT! When i quit school, like 4 PM, it feel's like it's night or something.... I hate it... On the spring and the beginning of the summer, it never get dark in the northern part of sweden, that's sweet.

You get frozen nostrils? Sweet Georgia Brown, thank God for Australia!
I've read a few places in your chats, but where do the rest of you come from? I am finding this all very interesting... it's like watching a documentary without ever leaving the office.

I live in Ottawa, Ontario

Dark as hell come 5:30, which I like, exept that it makes me tired.

Had some light snow a few days ago, but other than that its all rain.

This reminds me of a mistake on a weather forcast, it said there was 999.9ml of precipitation. Decimal error.
