Looking for a game...
I'm looking for a game that will be a bit of a timesink, at least for the next couple weeks till uni. starts. Something like daggerfall, in scope, and scale, but with the mechanics of a roguelike, like T.O.M.E.
Anyone have any ideas?
P.S. Don't tell me outside either. It's raining, and I'm on a co-op work term in a shootty shootty town.

I have killed a lot of time with nethack. It's similar to T.O.M.E. and Rogue and such. There are a whole lot of dungeon levels and a few sidequests, but nothing fancy. I haven't finished it yet... I probably never will
I started with nethack, then Slash'em, dove through Moria, ADOM, and I'm working my was through the angband variants... currently on Tome:Fury variant, it's a bit more complex than the other variants, but doesn't have as much randomness as the ZelanyAngband variant; the main overmap, sotryline, towns and dungeon themes are not randomized.
It's been a long boring summer.

I've found a good risk clone, Fracas. Except it's a bit more like chess, and a bit slower.
I'm not sure, but you might be interested in Slaves to Armok: God of Blood. It creates a world for you to play in, and lets you play a few games in it. One of the modes was described as similar to net hack, but with blood.
Try Ahriman's Prophecy. It's a free RPG, that would take many hours to complete(I noticed some similarities between this, and the first part of LOT).
I got a ways into it... But I could never beat the evil prince guy...
Have you ever tried 5 days?
I just finished the third game in that series.

5 Days a Stranger and 7 Days a Skeptic are fudgeing scary. I love them anyway!
The evil prince it was lord Zoron, right?(or something like that, I played the game a year or two ago). It was pretty strong, but the key was to use the sleep spell on him several times. Since you didn't beat him, you missed all the fun, because from there on is the best part. Thalia will be able to chose a class(priest, which, earth mage, dragon lord and fairy). The last two are the strongest ones, but you can only find them later in the game. Did you have Jack in your party at that point, cause I can't remember. He was so cool, because he could open locked chests and many cool things.
5 Days a Stranger wasn't *that* scary, IMO. 7 Days a Skeptic, on the other hand, was the first AGS game to make me go "Ewww ewww ewww!" at key moments. (I tend to do that a lot with gorier games, like VtM: Redemption. Doesn't stop me from playing 'em, of course... )
I tried the first one. It was great.

Oh, then you'd absolutely love the Tzimisce areas in Bloodlines. Very aesthetically pleasing.
