I must say, having internet access that disconnects about every 3 minutes is a bit jarring. Each link I click or button I push is followed by some discomfort... will this be the one that breaks?

It gets kind of bad when 10 minutes go bye, as I know it rarely sustains itself for that long, so I'm sort of happy it hasn't disconnected yet, but I know the next disconnection is just seconds away.

I'm a man, but I can change, if I have to.I guess.
Yeah, that does aggrivate one somewhat. It gets expecially tedious when you have to re-enter a password each time, because the session has 'expired'. Grrrrr!

Chop your own wood, and it will warm you twice.
My internet connection falls after about 1 hour, but sometimes even after 15 min. Sometimes I can't even connect.

Since we don't have that many people here in NZ such problems are rare. Especially with broadband. We've got less than 100,000 broadband suscribers so the boradband networks (of which there are few since most of the providers get wholesale service through Telecom) don't get many people so overloading is not a problem with our broadband networks. Due to these facts we have a major cause of such problems removed or rare (depending on if it's over the broadband or dial up networks), meaning those problems are comparatively rare here.

I remember that with my old dial-up. Now I fortunately have cable. I have trouble believing I ever used anything else.

Daniel, there are clowns.
I haven't had that problem in a while. If you're using DSL, it could be the quality of the phonelines. I was in apartment complex where disconnects happened quite frequently and I knew for a fact the phone lines in that place were a piece of crap.

I was about to reply when my connection failed...

If my connection fails it's usually my anti-virus software that crashes and takes the internetconnection in it's wake. (Atleast that's how I think it is)
