New D-Mod: Once a Hero Demo
On this dandy New Year's Eve (New Year's Day for some of you), the crazy Englishboy SabreTrout has also provided us with a demo of the upcoming D-Mod Once a Hero. The dmod.diz file says that a young man named Dink Smallwood has his life changed forever when he and a friend stumble across ancient crap, but I felt that this excerpt of slightly broken English from the readme file sums it up best: "This is d-mod features many new features not seen before." How dandy!
I would like to point out that these features don't really come into play in the demo. I hope you all enjoy it, however.
The game crashes if you try talking to Blaine after exploring the hideout. Yay.
Truly? Hmm... gutting. The village had seemed bug free for a looooong time.
Thanks for making this demo!
I'm not new to playing Dink, but new to posting, and have sort of begun my own D-Mod. To see yours gives me hope - to finish my own and to have something good to play!
Hope you have time to finish it soon. Love the spiders

What should I say? It's probably the most promising demo I ever played(maybe except for crosslink). One question: will it be finished untill 2010?
Anyway, SabreTrout did a great job.

The game also crashes if you try talking to the farmer after killing all of the spiders. Yay again.
EDIT : Oh, and it is one of the best demos I've ever played. Can't wait for the full version.

Nevermind, I think I know why the game crashed. The real problem is that the spiders seem to respawn after a while, so you can kill the same spiders over and over, and so I killed more spiders than necessary, which caused the bug. I think.
It's a bug nevertheless.

OK, finished the dmod demo...do I write a review for it?
I read the Readme and some of those features you plan to do are cool.
OK, finished the dmod demo...do I write a review for it?
If you would, that would be good. Seenig what people liked and disliked about the demo will surely help improve the final version of the d-mod.

If you'd like a review I might write one, I'm not used to it, but I could try my hand at writing one.
The more reviews, the happier I am. Please, go ahead and submit one!
