Heh, my rational behind the poll was to find several words that I didn't even think were words by perusing dictionary.com's previous 'Word of the Day' entries.

Would you believe that I submitted my comment about dictionary.com's word of the days two seconds before arriving to read this post? Man, my life is so full of odd coincidences these days.. I spent half of my study month reading Trotsky's autobiography, and now half of my History final exams actually was about him.

Unbelievable things happen

The only one I didn't know was panjandrum (also myrmidon, I guess, though I've heard it. The myrmidons were some greek [mythical] group)... I think think you may be misusing verisimilitudinous, which means "similar" or something of that nature.

No, he isn't, but it really isn't a great question. Translated into modern English, it says, "What accentuates the degree of truth in your slang or misused speech". Only about half the things given, however, answer the question.
