Who knows?
Who knows on the dmod list what the clipboard or trophs means to the left of the name?
Clipboard = picture frame, and designates that the file has at least one screenshot available.
Trophy Cup = that file has won an award, most likely Download Of The Month or Download Of The Year.

ok, I just joined this site. I know about everyone knows this but... how do u make a d-mod?
I suggest you explore this site a bit more. Also notice the giant 81 px x 35 px "Search" button in the corner.
As a start, I would recommend downloading a few files...
"The Rudiment's of Scripting" and "Dink goes Boating" would be two excellent ones to start with.

And EasyDinkC, WinDinkEdit, as much *.c DMod source code as your harddisk can contain. (Well, not really, but it's good to look at and copy from). Check tut1.txt that's included with the game and... when in trouble ask on the dev board... and... uhm... probably you need MUCH and MUCH more. Especially patience.
Who knows what dmod stands for? deos it stand for anything at all?
For Dink Module. An expansion/adventure/quest type thingy for the Dink engine.
Where's WC when you need him...
Where's WC when you need him...
Thre have been many theories. White Chocolate, Water Closet, White CTrash (with a silent C)... nobody can be sure. Maybe it could be Wasted Corpse, or Weird Comrade...
Maybe he will enlighten everybody one day.

Sadly, I know the whole story Behind how Mike, got the name WC it goes back to his teen years on the streets in las vegas. He told me it I think back in 1999 or 2000 when we used to chat on ICQ
After a long and thorough search, I came up with this thread DN Legends... So it seems to mean White Chocolate.
Here's the full reply:
It mean White Chocolate, and the full thing was PHATWCINFRCR
Phat = Duh
WC = Guess
INFRCR = enforcer
I used to beat people up in Mirc chat rooms so they started calling me the enforcer.

Yeah, I remember that. Him telling that, not the actual beating.
And thus the quote about saying Tal threw a bar of white chocolate on the street and it grew cantankerous and found a position at the DN.
Isn't it nice to have these nice chats about bygone times at the DN? We should have compulsory history lessons for n00bs.
Dink Exam Questions
1) How did Jveenhof die? (a bit of a trick question here).
2) Who got persecuted for liking Morrowind that bit too much?
3) What does PHATWCINFRCR mean? (this thread ruins that question a bit)
4) Who's clones swamped the board with "discreet british slang and such"?
5) What was Tal's full title?

I could answer all of those questions except for maybe the one about Jveenhof. I do know that he has come and gone and he played some hoax about his death (reminds me of a trick the Dwarves played with their guitarist). I'm too new here (a little more than a year) to know about the billions of others things Jveenhof and the others have done since this thing has been around for 6 years and a dink month is like a normal week.
Maybe someone needs to make a new Dink X Trivia or something...
So i was right about he quote all along! Egg-salad!(pents fingers like creepy old man). Didn't Jveenhof's "sister" log on say he died in a car accident? Why did he fake hia death anyways?
Edit: holly crap! you posted that before i posted

You call that Dink triva?
Pah.
What about the weird space alien hackers who wiped the archives?
What about the infamous Canada VS America thread?
What about the tragic Board wipes under the rule of Medar?
What about the confusing ANON war?
Now that's history. It wasn't a good week unless there was at least one huge debate or crisis. Whether it was a dissapearing or broken message board, or, ah, highly questionable pictures being posted at the DN, there was always something happening. Ah, good times, good times...
PS.
I'll need someone to verify up the Anon war thing... I can't recall for the life of me if it was Anon or something else. (and who's email was comprimised, anyways?)

Someone should email him and ask what it stands for. Then we may get an answer.
That's a really good idea! Why don't you do that. Let us know what he says.
There are still some other people on this site with abreviations in thier names like MTG I just noticed.

uhm, it is explained in this very topic multiple times. read gawddangit.

Who knows where the japenese sypobls come from. What do they mean?

Not sure what you mean by this question, but there are three different alphabets in Japanese: Katakana, Hiragana, and Kanji. These alphabets have different uses.
Hiragana is the "foreign alphabet", used to spell foreign words which are not Japanese.
Katakana is the basic Japanese alphabet.
Kanji are words from imported from China (basically Chinese). These words, unlike the Kana alphabets, represent ideas instead of vocal sounds.
As for what they mean, well, that's like asking what the letter 'T' means.
