T3
Who else has seen "T3 : Rise of the Machines", and what did they make of it?
Personally, I found it very enjoyable, but not a patch on the previous films. The action was pretty funky, watching Arnie and TX smash each other through toilets and walls over and over.
The end was a bit of an anti-climax as well.
My main gripe, which was brought to my attention after seeing a small childs face seconds later, was how the film can be a 12A?
I won't mention exacly what happens, but it is in a car, and is quite bloody...completely out of context with most of the film.
I just find it quite bad that small children can see this film, when it has a moment like that. Hmmm...

I haven't seen it, but it is rated R here, which means you have to be 17 or older to get in without a parent.
Redink is not 17 yet
?? Since I live in the country, I am waiting for the video release, but personally don't think it will be as good as T2.

Out of curiousity, how does the movie ratings system work over there, Sabre?
If need be, I (or someone else, as I'd likely be beaten to it) will explain the American system.. I'm just quite curious.

Judging by how much they can do on TV in Britain without being censored, I wouldn't be surprised if the ratings were a little looser.
U Universal, suitable for all.
PG All ages admitted, but Parental Guidance is recommended. It is the board's policy that movies rated "PG" should not disturb a child of about 8 years of age or older; however, "parents are advised to consider whether the content may upset young or more sensitive children."
12 No one under 12 years of age may see a "12" film or rent or buy a "12" video.
15 No one under 15 years of age may see a "15" film or rent or buy a "15" video.
18 Suitable only for adults. No one under 18 years of age may see an "18" film or rent or buy an "18" video.
R18 To be supplied only in licensed sex shops to adults of not less than 18 years of age.
Unless my reasearch done in a grand total of 2 minutes has been a total waste, you mean that anyone under 12 cannot see the movie. But, it probably was a waste anyway because a 12 rating doesn't seem too bad.

Uh, which country is that? Oh, and "R18" videos are the only way to go! Now, If they would just let me in...

They're for the United Kingdom. Of course they'd let you in, everyone is aloud in every shop. Think of it like this, there are two kinds of people in this world, people who glue black painted bricks under their shoes to look taller to get in to see one movie that they probably won't like anyway, ruining their shoes in the process, and insane people.

I don't know about you, but I saw 28 Days Later, which I believe you brits saw last year. The UK does have some pretty good movies.
You did pretty much get the British system right, but it has recently changed, due to the release of Spiderman.
U - Universal - suitable for all
PG - Parental Guidance
12a - may only be seen if you are 12 or over OR an adult is with you and has deemed it appropriate.
15 - obvious
18 - duh
People complained that Spiderman should be a PG, so younger children could see it, so censors created a new rating.
It's not as good as T2, though obviously it has a lot more explosions and smashing through walls and stuff, which is good. The Terminator "idea" isn't furthered though.
It should be a 15, in my opinion.

Ratings system in Belgium, anyone? In cinema's we've got Children Allowed or Children not Allowed.. But the system is applied VERY loosely.. I remember going to see Man's Best Friend with a friend when I was about 10-11. Then we chickened out cause the opening credits were creepy and we went and saw Free Willy! Neat!
So you can basically see anything but you can switch movies if you're scared

Most of the time when I see R rated movies I go with my parents because that's my only ride, and the only way I can get in. There have been times when my parents weren't with me though. If they buy tickets for you, it doesn't really matter what age you are. I saw the south park movie with a friend when I was 11.
