New D-Mod: Shadows of Death
Sorry Tim, you're not done yet.
DinkKiller has released part 2 of the Dink and the Bonca trilogy: Shadows of Death.
This promises to be much bigger and better than the first part, unfortunately it is in an unfinished state with about 20% working at the moment.

That was quick.
unfinished state with about 20% working at the moment.
20% complete. About 80% of that is functioning

We're getting too many DMODs. Slow down! I don't think we're ready to jump straight back into so many DMODs yet! We need to ease out of the space we were in! D:
Hmmm... so does this mean you're never going to finish it? That's a shame.
Yeah, this is not ok people, we've already gotten a years worth of dmods and it's still January, what happened to the famous dinker laziness?!
This is a good sign IPD. LET"S BREAK SOME RECORDS THIS YEAR!
Kind of makes me want to make another dmod! It's already been a year since Bloop!
Know what else you haven't made in a while?
...remember that PM?

Yeah, it's unlikely to happen. With trying to figure out my life and finding what I liked to do, programming was not there, so there's no real desire or reason for me to try to finish this huge, ambitious project. I do hope you enjoy what I have managed to complete though!
However, an idea I had was to turn this project into a story, and complete the D-mod that way. Since I do kind of like writing, it would be one way to get the entire story of the D-mod into the community, though I'm not sure I'd be able to actually do justice to the game. It's an idea, and it might not happen, but it's there if I get bored enough.

Make it a choose your own adventure story. Then it'd sort of be like a DMOD. You could turn to page 12 to determine how good you hit a pillbug with a throw of a d4 or something.
I'm not clever enough to pull something like that off. It'd be a lot more tedious and less fun to write for me.
Then make an entire Dink Smallwood module for D&D.
20%, you say? How did it get less done than it was in 2013?
Because when I was working on the project in 2013, I had a much smaller overall vision for the D-mod. I knew how I wanted the game to end, and I had the first of three major areas completed, so at that time I thought that more of the overall game (30%) was done. Back then I was still making it up as I went. When I actually put time and effort into writing out absolutely everything I wanted in the D-mod at the end of last year, mapping it out, the scope and ambition of the D-mod increased dramatically, which lead me to revise my estimated completion to 20%. Which lead to far less motivation to actually work on it, hence the incomplete version release. There is still the exact same amount of content, if not slightly more, as was in the game at the end of 2013.
I look forward to your perspective on the current state of the D-mod when you get around to playing it though. That's pretty much the only reason I released it at all.
