Creating D-mods, what can and can I not do?
What sound formats are supported by the game?
Is it possible to create new maps/landscapes?
What is the maturity rating limit?
Can I work with other people (collaboration)?

As for what I know...
It supports .midis and .wavs
Just mess around with the map creator, it is possible, but time consuming.
As for what i've seen, nudity is allowed, just state that it'll be included.
And yes.

Aural+ will allow support of MP3s. Nudity is allowed, I am sure. There's a pornographic DMOD ffs.
24-bit is supported, but the original graphics are done in 8-bit.
You'll need blender / 3Dmax to make new graphics (or, you can just stick with paint).

Paint is wonderful for things such as Skorn's Dark Beach Graphic and Jani the Ultimate Warrior.
All of which are of course the best files currently on the Dink Network.
None are as good as my favorite though..

Hey, welcome aboard!
About the only limitation on what kind of content in dmods is allowed on this site is that the dmod shouldn't contain copyrighted mp3s. E.g. if your dmod has Britney Spears tracks on it, it would be rejected.
Copyrighted .mid files are still okay (in fact, the majority of dmods on the site contain copyrighted midis...).

Actually don't the current rules here say d-mods should not be submitted containing MP3s at all? I think the idea was that MP3s are big, and don't all versions support them. Apparently if you want to do that you're supposed to release the MP3s separately. I don't know if anyone has actually done it though.
Oh, also Dink HD, and FreeDink both support Ogg Vorbis as well.

Man, after all these years, Jani still looks like one tough dink.
I thank you, swear filter.

People who collabrate on D-Mods are stoopid!!
Prelude did that, but that didn't turn out too well (the mp3 pack inexplicably disappeared later...)
It's an archaic rule (a few extra MBs is nothing nowadays), and uploading the mp3s separately is more than a little bit awkward, especially if a dmod only contains a few MP3s instead of a whole soundtrack of them. Err, I'm not actually sure if Sparrowhawk & friends still try to enforce that rule, so I'll take it up with the rest of the staff before saying it's this way or the other.

So does that make sabretrout and arik stoopid?

I wouldn't mind knowing about the mp3 files being let in or not as well, simply because of midi-to-mp3 converter (I has it) and open-source mp3 remixes that just seem to work so well with a Dmod...
