Player Poll
Since HSL2 is my first "big" D-Mod, I need to know how in-depth people will get with the game. I don't want to spend a month on things people will never use. So, if you guys would be so kind as to answer a few questions:
1) If you believed it would give you more information on the story, how much information would you try to gather? Would you only pay attention to mandatory information, such as cutscenes, or would you seek out additional information, such as a town library?
2) Would you ever grind in the game to help you reach a requirement, or would you just play through and hope you're strong enough when the time comes?
3) Will you explore every part of an area you can, or just skim over the important parts?
More q's may come later.

All three. I seem to gravitate to doing all those things in any game actually, not just RPGs.
Yus, I would read the library, the signs, tip a rock and look under it everything - cause I dunno where you have hidden all the sweet stuff I can come across. I look in every screen interact with everything as long as the cutscenes werent too long or the conversations werent waffly I would take the time to go thru them - I love grinding up in Dink - I mean come on who doesnt love 'murder-death-kill' and all that spurty red blahd hehe
Kind of an odd question now, but what is your favorite color? I'm adding an option in the Escape menu to change the color of your companion's font, and I'd like to know which text colors you like the best. First person to answer gets a personalized color name in the list (Ex: Tal Pink).
`0 is my fav colour - easy to read on any background
next choice is `# = tal pink haha

Content is key. Cram as much into the as it can hold, then stick some more in too. With any luck your game will burst in a shower of pure awesome. Even if only 1 person finds the extra content, it'll be well worth it.
The green already has a name, but I'll rename the Pink to "MsDink Pink". It rhymes so that's always a plus
I forgot to mention that all of these are custom colors,
I forgot to mention that all of these are custom colors,
set_font_color(13, r, g, b);, so I can make whichever colors I want.
lol you dont have to do that - I just like those colours as some of the conversations are so hard to read and those are nice and bright - also like the `3 ice blue
Add as MUCH information you can and make the dungeons long with lots of monster's.
Does that mean you can make a blahd red?? OOooooooo pilly

That's actually what it's called in the colors list Well, you know, "Blood Red", not "Blahd Red", people might get confused
pfft its red and looks like carnage I LOVES IT hehe
It's blahd when msdink says it though.

1- I'd do a lot if I'm not lazy.
2- Yes, if I'm not lazy.
3- You guessed it.

It depends, if I get into the game the answer would be yes to all questions, but if not it would probable be no.
I like the humor of the firt part, keep it up!

Story > Everything for a d-mod. We're at the point where "we've seen it all", but a good story is still something that can drive a player to continue playing.
I still look at everything, explore every nook and cranny. I'm not prepared to do a lot of grinding anymore though, because I simply don't have the time. You can disguise grinding by cleverly making use of monster spawns or screen locks at key points before a quest/story element though.

First time I play a D-Mod, my aim is just to finish the game. I love to replay it and explore it further if I liked it the first time.
1) I look at everything!
2) Usually find grinding boring... sometimes it has to be done, so as long as it's somewhat interesting and not just "kill 20,000 powerful boncas which award 10 exp each" then it's fine.
3) If it interests me, explore every last detail.
Also, I agree with SabreTrout

1) Depends on the story. The more mystery in the story line, the more I seek information.
2) I HATE grinding! I still haven't actually beaten Seth, just because I don't like the training I'd have to go through to do it.
3) I always try to explore everywhere, especially when there's a chance for hidden areas and goodies.
