Story > Everything for a d-mod. We're at the point where "we've seen it all", but a good story is still something that can drive a player to continue playing.
I still look at everything, explore every nook and cranny. I'm not prepared to do a lot of grinding anymore though, because I simply don't have the time. You can disguise grinding by cleverly making use of monster spawns or screen locks at key points before a quest/story element though.
