i was the assigned homework to write a controversial letter for literature class. apparently, mine was a little too controversial.

school is a joke.

....which makes me wonder, what it was about? I LOVE controversy.

Why would the school want you to write a controversial letter? It seems like they didn't realize it would actually be controversial.

hahaha. yeh, they called my mom and she was like "what was the assignment?" - "uh, to write a controversial letter..." - "so he did a good job then?" they told me to rewrite the letter and that if i was an adult, they would have me arrested. i am 18.

the letter was about making murder legal, cutting down trees, paving the entire world, dumping garbage into the ocean, giving kids poison candy, flushing lizards down the toilet, shooting people who wear fanny packs, osker the dwarf, and other such issues.

im back in school now though

POST IT! I will put it in the features section Anyways, it reminds me of a essay I wrote once on "how to stop crime". My approch was thing will get worse before they get better, so we should arm everyone who has not been arrested with a Desert Eagle and when someone tried to hurt them, they can blast a cap in their rear end. Then, anyone commiting a crime (other than self defense), they sould be stoned (not smoking pot) in public. Man was that funny reaading to the class.

Logic and reason have no place in school! At least that's how the administrators of my old one saw it (and still do).

You know... I think there might be a differnce between "controversial" and just plain inflammatory. Your school was totally asking for it with a dumb assignment like that though.

striker, i agree. the work my teachers give me is freaking ridiculous. thats why i mock them with things such as this (which, apparently, gets taken a little more seriously than i previously thought) i like to argue that instead of the death penalty, convicts should be sent to the moon, ray consella from field of dreams heard voices because he did drugs, and other such things. i dont think the teachers appreciate unique thinking, its like if you dont write what they want to hear, you get a bad grade. so whats the point? you might as well write something challenging that makes you think about the subject from a new perspective. you cant formulate your own oppinion, which takes a lot more learning and thinking than to just spit back what the teacher tries to convince you is the right thing to believe.

paul. there is no such thing as inflammatory or whatever in my book. words are meaningless. if you interpret something as inappropriate, who is the one with the dirty mind? think about that.

I am with WC i would probably enjoy reading this report...i had to write a report of child support and teen pregnacy *cough* uhh... i "disturbed the class with perverted garbage" as the teach said of corse she was the same teacher that tried to expell me several times but thats all behind now

Why is it that when i try to write something biased against someone just because its true i get a detention?
