Hi,

I made a few changes again to DFArc:

- Logo animation when selecting a D-Mod.

- Language selection: set DFArc's language in the Options (so you
don't have to modify your system language to test a translation).

- Language selection: when translations are available for a D-Mod,
allow the user to choose one in a listbox.

- Updated Danish, Finnish, Italian and Polish translations.

- Developper buttons are shown by default - we can't let users miss
that they can makes their own games!

- If Dink crashes, don't (mistakenly) report that it was not found,
but (correctly) report that it failed.

GNU/Linux version:
deb http://www.freedink.org/snapshots/debian/ ./

Window version:
dfarc-3.7.20101024-bin.zip

Let me know what you think and how it works for you

Hmm call me dumb but how do I install Dink (orig) so this thing sees it - I don't want to over write my original copy (but want to put it in a seperate folder) but I cant seem to point this to recognise dink.exe... I have installed dmods that show up in there, but cant figure out how to get it to see the original Dink so I can PLAY the dmods...

Like it so far though - like the Edited: Same as sparrow up there... Nice

One thing I dont like is that the path and file name no longer show up in the bottom bar - this is good if you are looking for a file but it is named different to the actual dmod name in the window (listing all dmods you have...) The list may say for eg: Begining of Evil but the actual file name is BOE makes it hard to find if you wanna look at how something works

Keeps telling me it can't find, wde, dink edit or anything on my computer

MsDink: Change either the "Override the Dink Smallwood directory" (and tick the checkbox) or the "additional dmods directory" to point to the folder where the dmods are installed. Doing that should also change where it looks for the game exes, so it should be able to find those too.

The path shows up for me in the bottom as usual... and yep, it's great.

The only problem I noticed was that the developer buttons were NOT shown by default... still had to go to the options to turn them on.

Thank you scratchy one

Now I have the directory path and still see the package button, (I didnt have to turn it on) Although it wont let me play the game I am currently making as it says "Couldnt find one of the title screens" This game works fine on last dfarc

Nice tagline scratcher.

hell7fire1: yes, you can use it under windows. It's just the update to DFArc, not the whole freedink.

scratcher: the dev buttons are shown by default *for new installs*, if you already configured DFArc to hide them, it'll stay that way.

MsDink: the error must be "Couldn't find tilescreen", it comes from Dink itself. That sounds strange, I need to investigate. Does it only do that for your D-Mod?

DinkDoodler: does it mean freedink.org is blocked in Pakistan?

Thanks for all your comments, glad the animation works fine

Also if you want to test the translations, you need to use freedink.exe, and use a D-Mod with translations, for instance the original game translations.

It works occasionally, but usually it comes up with this:

Internet Explorer Cannot Display Webpage
-Diagnose Connection Problems
-Refresh (Or Something)

I had to download PSPDink from QJ.net.

I had actually configured DFArc to show them. No big deal, though, as long as it works for the newbies.

MsDink: It's the same error that el Kenji had: http://www.dinknetwork.com/forum.cgi?MID=128510

Wat, nu?
JA, NU!!

scratcher: my guess is that the buttons were disabled (by default) last time you tried a previous version of DFArc3 It uses a separate configuration file than DFArc2.

MsDink: indeed that's the error you mentioned (but tilescreens, not titlescreens ) (The one I copy/pasted is the one from FreeDink, which also mentions what particular tilescreen number was not found).
Aside from that I can't reproduce your error, except by actually deleting a titlescreen as scratcher mentioned.

DinkDoodler: can we do anything to help you access the website? I see that Internet is sometimes controlled around you but in this case it sounds more like a connectivity issue.

I updated the .zip with a new version - mostly internal changes, especially in the language selection system. I also un-broke the initial editor warning (that tells users about auto-saving in (free)dinkedit).
Let me know if there's any bug left.

MsDink: I'm out of ideas :/
What version of Dink are you using already?

MsDink: if you need to reinstall DFArc2 I put here. If you want to try both, just rename DFArc3 to dfarc3.exe or something

DinkDoodler: pictures are shown when there's one, otherwise the title of the D-Mod is shown. Is that what you meant?

MsDink: your assistance in tracking bugs is much appreciated

DinkDooler: Glad you could get it
I'll need some precision on "something about the ini files"
But it's probably related to the option about writing dink.ini (Edit > Options).
