New D-Mod: A False Hero
The Absolute reincarnation of Skorn's first D-Mod is ready...... A False Hero chronicles the epic story of a false hero who is going around killing people.
Stop him!
Stop him!
Stop who, Skorn or the killer?
Anyway, I was expecting this to be released sometime in the coming months. Hopefully this isn't another rushed release.

Doublepost, I know.
Well, it wasn't as bad as you would expect because of his previous D-Mods, but it certainly wasn't good either. It's kind of the old D-Mods. If we were back in '98 or '99 this D-Mod would actually get a 6.0. or something.
But by the looks of it, with training and if Skorn really put all his mind into these, didn't rush them through, or anything like that, I see potential in him.
EDIT: Also, the ending doesn't show completely because of an extra space somewhere in the script. Can't remember lol, so you have to find and change it yourself.

"it certainly wasn't good"
Good job being constructive there. Though I'm sure you weren't trying to be.

To be honest, I'm not even going to bother with this unless Skorn updates it. He could have at least had the decency to request a beta-tester to help find any extra bugs, as well as help with fixing them (including the one mentioned in this topic and on the file's page).
'Til this gets fixed, I'm boycotting this one (just like meta is boycotting FoD, but I have beta testers for that and a patch on the way for the demo).

I didn't rush through it. I made it in at least 4 hours.

MsDink was my tester, and she helped a lot!

I just looked through the end script. I found no extra spaces.

So what do you think? Is this a good starter?
It's better then your other one, but you should really make more npc to talk to for your next one... And make a longer one. Check out my review for more feedback

You're joking, right?
Downloading now.

Yeah... that's just not going to cut it. A decent romp takes at least a month complete. Seriously. Just the BFTG demo took me from the end of December to the end of May.

Well, yeah! That's a pretty big demo! XD
I am not boycotting FoD, I even helped you alpha/beta-test that one. I just don't see the point in playing a DMOD that even the author knows is broken. At least Skorn has tried to make it free of bugs...

That is exactly what I meant. You rushed through it.

There IS an extra space, and I think more than me have found it if they looked for it.

I just checked the script with CEdit, and it's clear of errors.
IIRC, CEdit's syntax checker isn't the best.
I recommend DinkC Editor for checking your code. Although it has a few bugs here and there, it's syntax checking is faultless, as far as I've experienced.

Yes, the script is indeed clear of syntax errors. However, it's not clear of logic errors: once the die() procedure is executed, it has a little time to do its work before the script will be terminated by the engine.
To fix this, put
before the first say_stop() in your die() procedure. Also put
right before the end of the die() procedure, so that the script is terminated when its done. It should work now.
To fix this, put
script_attach(1000);
before the first say_stop() in your die() procedure. Also put
kill_this_task();
right before the end of the die() procedure, so that the script is terminated when its done. It should work now.
This is the bug:
It says
when it should say
There are probably a whole hip of other bugs too.
It says
say_stop("Well, that's it. You beat the game" , 1);
when it should say
say_stop("Well, that's it. You beat the game", 1);
There are probably a whole hip of other bugs too.
Well, once I fixed it it started working so I would think it is.
EDIT: Oops, how silly of me. I also (forgot that) I did the script_attach and that stuff. So that would actually be the reason it doesn't work. Heh, nevermind.
