A question for the staff
A question for the staff - Do you ever read things posted in the complaint/suggestion box? See I really wouldn't always like to post here...

I read them... but most of them are worthless, or they will be done in the future.
I just started playing 2 days ago, and I loved the origanal game, mistery isle was ok..too short. Any way, I downloaded Pilgrams Quest and I cant figure out how to get it to work. (By the way, I know nothing about programing or that stuff...sorry) I hope you can help me, but its ok if you dont have the time...hehe.
Thanks a lot, Kriss

You should download and play Stone of Balance first... as Pilgrim's Quest is it's sequel.
Use Winzip to unzip the download into a folder in the Dink Smallwood folder... ie for Stone of Balance... try making a folder "stone" and for PQ try a folder called "bpilgrim". You can create these folders from within winzip when you specify which folder to unzip into... ie
select the Dink Smallwood folder as in C:\Program Fils\Dink Smallwood\ and then type stone (or pilgrim) after the last "\"
Also check the "Use folder names" option on the extract command.

DON'T give the folders names that
have more the one word.Like if you
type "piligrims quest" it won't work
type "piligrimsquest"or just PQ.
Also, if you want to make it 'look' like the space is there, just put in the " _ " symbol in.
aka: pilgrims_quest
Meh, just a thought.

Is better to use MS DOS compatible names:
Maximum 8 letters for the folder name, like "BPilgrim" or "SOB_PQ"
Maximum 8 letters for the folder name, like "BPilgrim" or "SOB_PQ"
Thats not true, at least if you use the front end. Some of my folders names has 20 letters.
Yeah, long names don't seem to bother dink for the most part spaces do though. There are certain odd length limits for paths to graphics and such though.
