The score it gives you is basically the amount of sprites you can reliably have going simultaneously, sort of. Here are some scores I have collected so far on hardware I have been testing it on prior to release:
RasPi3 in kms/drm mode on Lite image - 1,006
Windows 7 - Xeon X5670 - 7,000
macOS - i7 3615QM - 9,782
Windows 10 - i5 6400T - 13,063
Windows 10 - AMD 2500U - 13,742
Windows 10 - overclocked i7 3770k - 20,000
When I can get over the last few minor hurdles and release 0.9, it would be interesting to see what someone with a high-range CPU from the last few years can get.
