Thanks Slipdink, there's at least one minor graphical issue that drone1400 mentioned above in regards to 24-bit graphics looking weird when launched in 8-bit mode, but it's nothing that can't be worked around by starting in 24-bit graphics mode, and authors performing a get_truecolor() check at launch.
Yep, I ran into that while testing and used the appropriate command line switch to resolve the matter. Like you say, "it's nothing".
