I think one of Seth's concerns with putting Dink on steam is it would fragment our small community, where some D-Mods would be here, some would be on workshop, some would be on itch.io, some people would use different forums, etc.
With that said, Steam has turned a blind eye to some extremely rampant copyright violations in their workshop, like:
