If you don't have an account, just leave the password field blank.
Yeah, some people have experienced problems with the game crashing while attacking enemies. I've never personally experienced it happening, though. But the enemy code in FIAT v1.00 has been completely re-written, so it shouldn't be a problem once it is released.
