I grew tired of the 'Dinky Dimensions' moniker sometime after I released FIAT v0.99. It just started sounding lame, and it didn't fit the plot that much anymore. I tried to think of a new name for the trilogy of FIAT, EOT2, and Hidthspace Revolution, but I just couldn't think of anything much better.

But then I'm working away on my next D-Mod (Initiation), and I realize that the plot leads directly into FIAT v1.00, and can be made to connect with the odd events in Paragon. So then I think for a second... why don't I just put Initiation, Paragon, and the rest of the Dinky Dimensions trilogy into one, huge 5-part D-Mod pentilogy or whatever. And then I think thought of a name: Ancient Legacy.

So, here is how Ancient Legacy will be made:

Part 1: Initiation (Quest)
Part 2: Paragon (Epic)
Part 3: FIAT v1.00 (Epic)
Part 4: EOT v2.50 (Quest)
Part 5: Hidthspace Revolution (Epic, probably)

The links between them won't be very direct. Heck, I think I might release FIAT v1.00 before Paragon. Years/months pass between Part 1 and Part 2, as well as between Part 2 and Part 3. Paragon will only be connected to the others by a slim thread. But they'll be part of the same 'redinkiverse', like how SOB and PQ are part of the 'simonkiverse'.

Now... I wonder if I'll be able to finish these, heh. Initiation *better* come out this month. And while the stuff I've done for Paragon is *really* cool, I could easily drop it and make Ancient Legacy a 4 parter.

Oh, and in case those wondering about FIAT v1.00 if you haven't heard of it before: it is essentially FIAT v0.99. The same basic map, and the same basic islands. However, many of the quests have been improved/replaced, the elemental monster graphics are much better, crashing problems should no longer be a problem, there will be a new island, and so on. And the dungeons should be quite a bit better; it won't be *do this 8 times*; there will be at least some variety. I stopped working on it around last December, when I got stuck trying to think of something fun for Dink to do on Tware.

EOT v2.50 will just add a couple things for Dink to do, and more plot stuff.

P.S. And this extension of the Dinky Dimensions trilogy is actually kinda funny. For those real old timers, this whole thing started when I released End of Time v1.00 a few years back. I had a plan for the sequel: The Clone Wars. I even released a demo (that didn't work). But then I decided to create a quick prequel to EOT, and ended up with the epic monstrosity known as FIAT v0.99.
