Go to the bios by mashing Delete or Escape or something? One of those numbered F buttons? I don't even remember if you go to bios for that. So, I'm just guessing and am too lazy to look up anything.

Yeah, you need to go to the BIOS when the laptop starts, and change the boot order list so that whatever drive you're trying to run Windows from is FIRST. If the computer's booting from C, for example, and that's where the Linux OS is, it'll never run the Windows setup on startup. You should be able to run Windows from an external USB drive, as long as the drive shows up in the BIOS.
