The game has a huge ongoing storyline with tons of characters. The protagonist's mother's dead is mentioned throughout the game. I don't know how you can say the game is empty. The map is huge and there's not a single location where you can't find something to do/explore.

No, there's not a single character you feel a strong connection to. Once again it's your personal opinion. The characters in the game have some of the best personalities, backstories and twists that there have ever been in a video game.

Wow, this is literally one of the stupidest arguments I've ever heard. Even from you it's stupid. First and most importantly of all, it's a video game, so it's not bound to be 100% realistic. Second, if it's such a big deal to you, then don't worry, the protagonist is actually one of the fastest runners in the entire game. Third, depending on how much you actually run/work out, you'll get faster and gain more stamina.
