If you don't have an account, just leave the password field blank.
A lot of times when I'm working on something, a project, playing a game, writing a paper, or whatever, sometimes I just randomly start to go do something else, usually browsing random things on the internet, and sometimes it snowballs to where I'm eventually just watching pointless videos on Youtube or something for up to a few hours. When I'm doing something creative, such as when I was making my D-mods, these distractions were part of my process, to get my mind off of the project, especially after working on it for several hours, and my mind just needed a rest.
Tim, I think what you go through is basically the same thing, and there's nothing wrong with it. It's part of your process, as it is mine, and it really doesn't subtract from the quality of your work. Your writing and your D-mod are both superb, and just keep doing what you do. There's no rush for greatness.
