And this summer was supposed to be productive...

Over the past month or so, I've discovered an entire civilization of monkeys has settled onto my back. Here is a brief synopsis of a couple tribes of monkeys, and their leaders.

**The Bookworm Monkeys

These devils have tried to forcefeed me books pretty much all summer long.

*The Harry Potter Monkey

This monkey whispered in my ear, "The 5th Harry Potter book was just released... but you haven't read any of the books. Why don't you start?"

My brother happened to have the 1st and 5th books, so I started reading the first. And my mom picked up 2-4 from the library.

I read the books.

Quite quickly.

Within a week, I had read them all. All 5. Within a week. Yeah.

*The General Reading Monkey

It has been whispering all summer long. "Read the Riverworld Trilogy... Read the Hitchhiker's Trilogy... Read that one book with Dirk Gently... Read A Short History Of Nearly Everything... Read The Da Vinci Code... Read Snow Crash... Read Cryptonomica..."

I've done exactly what it says. Right now I'm on my way through Snow Crash. I've been reading it over the past few days, which is quite a long time. It has some very good ideas... but it just doesn't 'click' with my mind.

**The Gaming Monkeys

These brutish fellows force me to sit on my butt and play games. A harsh task, indeed.

*The Frozen Throne Monkey

This monkey, who was complaining about a cold toilet or something, whispered in my ear "Dude, you played through the WarCraft III beta, WarCraft III, and the Frozen Throne beta... just buy this game, dang it!". So I purchased the Frozen Throne on the day it came out, and played it over the next few days until I beat it. Overall, its a fun game... but the plot/story is god-awful. I was really expecting it to take off from WarCraft III's horrible story and do something really good... but it was just more stupid 'World Tree'/'Frozen Throne' stupid crap.

*The Vice City Monkey*

This monkey came out of nowhere, and noticed that GTA: Vice City was $30 at Best Buy yesterday. So it whispered "Buy it, you fool!" I've been playing it quite a bit over the last few days. I really like it.

Conclusion

So if you've been wondering why I haven't been posting comments/news/etc. as recently lately, that's the reason.

Oh, and in case you're wondering why WC hasn't been posting lately... I dunno either. It seems he resigned. And it seems I fired him after he resigned without telling me. And I haven't told him that I may have fired him. So yeah... I dunno what's up with that.
