Rather obvious things would be leveling up, buying the strongest weapon available, and buying elixers. You need to buy those constantly in this D-Mod. Searching for secrets isn't necessary but can help you.
Some hints: Use herb boots and fireball on the Spikers. Use your strongest weapon whenever the dragon comes up from the bottom of the screen (you can only hit him once every time though). You can also try to make the dragon's fireballs hit the spikers. Oh, and try to get rid of one spiker as fast as you can, cause if more than two manage to get in the screen at the same time, it becomes really hard.
