Actually, if the rich do buy a bunch of unnecessary things, it boosts the economy, which most countries need right now.
In America, our countries economy is a mushroom, the rich invest their money in big companies, the big companies just save that money, the don't hire new people, so no new jobs open up, and the rich get their money back, and repeat.
The middle class is pretty much all gone now, and the rich won't spend their money.
No jobs create more people being hungry and homeless, which causes higher taxes, which takes money away from the already poor and hungry which creates more and more homeless.
So my point is that if the rich don't spend their money, it'll create a lot of problems.
