Hiya Zippy, apologies for not seeing this earlier, there is so much trolling on the forum lately its easy to miss threads at the moment. Not sure if I am the right person to try and help you - but here goes... *prays meta doesn't smite me*

The script meta uses (I think) is p2-obstacle.c - you could maybe adjust the length of time on the counter in there? Means you dont have to go into the editor at all - just open the script and adjust the &counter time (I think)

As to opening it in the editor, I don't know why but once I started using Win7, I had to click the short cut to the editor (wde+) to open any games in the editor - but after I did that, I can now access them through DFarc... Kind of crazy really and I am not sure why or even if that would help you, but it is something you can try I guess...

Also in DFarc, have you clicked the file/options/show developer buttons? Apart from that its been so long since I installed this I forgot what else if anything I did. If you can get in, last choice of fixes could be to just remove some of the fence (sorry meta) so you can continue on with the game - its an excellent game and well worth playing

Hope that helps...

Edit: Ohh sorry, the dink, dfarc, and wdedit executables (if you are in win 7) are all now under \programfiles(x86)\Dink Smallwood scroll right to the end of all your dmod folders and they will be there.
The scourger is also there and you will find the file to change in the "story" folder.
