Personally, I had an especially hard time making friends when I was young, because I was home schooled and I was not allowed to use the Internet. It wasn't until I just told them what to do with themselves and left one day that I began to have friends. Now, although I may be just a hair above vagrant, moving about from town to town, state to state, I am truly happy. I make lasting friends everywhere I go.
I'm NOT saying to follow in my footsteps, but I can say life WILL get better. It just has a way of doing so that no one can explain. You might be lonely now, but you will have more friends than you know what to do with later to make up for it.
