True (enough), and there's the fact that laptops will always lag behind a bit technologically. I just wanted to rebuke his reasons as they don't hold water much in my experience.

And sure enough, I use an external keyboard, making my real-life desktop into a pluggable portal for, well, devices that can be connected easily enough. Sure enough that's only my laptop(s) at this point, but no matter what I connect the working environment will stay the same.
