I finally got out of the inn (by cheating, was too frustrating trying to kill boncas otherwise). Now I'm wandering around and can't figure out what I need to do next to advance the plot.
I found a goblin who will heal me and sell a certain number of potions. I found a guy in the woods to the SW who doesn't want to talk to me. I found a cave to the north with (slashers?) monsters that if I'm lucky I can kill one before they kill me. I can now kill the boncas in the inn's basement without cheating, but at 3 xp each it takes a while to level.
