If you don't have an account, just leave the password field blank.
Just check a person with the "I has xbox" symbol next to their name's profile, their gamertag thing shows on there.
I don't get to play on my Gamertag much, though, since it's on a mate's Xbox and I probably have 2 months of Gold left on my membership.
