How do I access game files

I want to use some spells and weapons other people made on the misc. section under files but the one i want to use requires me to drag it and place it in the game file and then rename it. Where/how does one go to these files, i did a search and all there is is an exe. file for the game and if i need to split it somehow could someone direct me to a source for that?

If there are new graphics in the misc pack, put them in the "graphic" folder. There might be a text file there named "mob.INI" for example. Open it and copy that text into the .ini file of the D-Mod you wish to have it in. Yeah and also, if there're any .C / .D text files included put them in the story folder!

Haven't really tried myself but I think that would work..

I mean I could find it but the problem is is that those folders dont apear when I search for em.

well, are you sure its an .exe extension? if it's only part of the game (graphics, coding etc) it is unlikely that those things are ever going to be save as .exe's - .exe stands for executable, so it is a "run-able" program.

when it comes to "putting spells/ items in the game", you'll find that it may involve a few motions:
1.) You'll have to place the item/ spell code into game X's STORY folder. Perhaps you'll also have to play around with Dink.ini as well.
2.) You will probably want to associate your new items and spells with new graphics. these will go into your' GRAPHICS directory - same with sound, etc.
3.) If you still dont get it, check out the tutorial that comes with mystery island - I found it to be extremely useful.
