Fair Dinkum!
Ok, inspired by Christiaan’s thread about current D-Mod projects, I’ve made this to tell everyone about the one I’m currently making
Fair Dinkum! is an alternative hero D-Mod about a young guy whose name I haven’t yet thought up, who is frustrated with all the fame Dink gets (after all, he’s only a pig farmer) and goes out to become a hero himself. It will probably be quest size.
Partly inspired by Sabre's saying he wants D-Mods to feel more 'organic', and partly because of great D-Mods like CC2 and Initiation, just about everything will be interactive. Leaves fall off trees, all bookcases etc will have scripts attached, etc etc. It makes things much more fun IMO.
Current level of completion:
The map is basically done, just needs detailing. A basic storyline is done but it needs more to it so I’ll be working on that before or while I’m scripting. I’ve scripted a couple of secret and/or random areas but most of it needs doing still.
Release date: Um… end of the year or early next year? Not quite sure.

Sounds good, sir Hawk. I can't wait for it to come out.
I was looking through some pages and found this thread. Are you still working on this, Sparrowhawk?
Definitely
Doing the map details gets boring... When you have a largish map it's hard to make it all look interesting.
But yeah, it's moving along. Won't be done this year though.

Same as Marpro's
Are you still working on this one, Sparrow? Or have you left it without a question, because of the DDC contest. *Sniff* It breaks my hard to see contests kill innocent "upcoming-d-mods".

Nope, not killed, just postponed slightly. 'Slightly' being a relative term
I'm working on one for the contest that looks like ending up being quest size so I'm starting to get the edges of panic about finishing on time, but it should be done and then I'll go back to this.

Eh making d-mods is boring so thats why my projects are not going very fast ....

A sad thing about The Dink Network is that nothing is done in time.
I know, sorry
Current status is: Two other D-Mods will be finished before this one, and then I will either finish this or maybe decide to postpone again or even abandon it but merge into a larger project, because I still like what's made so far.
